You left a comment on my blog about Moodle. I was curious - does your school have a server or do you use a private service? Also, once I figure out what I want to do with moodle, I'll definitely need some help.
I'm a Moodle newbie but had a subscription to Blackboard for 2 years. The only thing I've done on Moodle this year is online book discussions. You can see them here http://www.smsdonline.org/login/index.php username and password baguest

The district has their own server. I've written online classes using Blackboard for elementary and have a couple of other Moodle ideas--let me know how I can help. N.
Thanks for sharing this widget! I could see some great uses for this in a classroom blog...a teacher could post the books the class has read throughout the year. Great way to let the kids "see" what they've read. I'm going to add one to my blog, and see if I can come up with some other ideas too. Thanks again!
I'm hoping my kids will add their own bookshelves as blog comments on our student blog (different from this one) http://areallydifferentplace.org/node/770. Half the battle will be figuring out how to stock their shelves and then get the code posted to the blog.

I am just catching up on my RSS...was disconnected for a while over vacation. I like this little widget. I am thinking it will work great for the collaboration we have with Clarence in Canada. The kids can become a group and read and write about books they choose...I am thinking aloud but there is a lot of room for flexibility, conversation and interaction between students. We also do summer reading...might be a whole new approach...
This is a very cool widget. I'm thinking about adding it to my class blog.
